Portsmouth Pride
Saturday 6th July 2024
What a day we had to remember on Saturday 10th June, when we welcomed people from the LGBTQ+ community, their friends, neighbours, loved ones and allies to our annual free Pride event. We believe there were more than 20,000 people present, but this is yet to be confirmed, so thank you to everyone for making it a huge success. There are no fences or barriers, no wristbands or tickets needed - it was completely free and open to all. We plan to keep it that way.
We hope this page holds all the information you need (scroll down to our FAQs for practical details on accessibility, parking, catering for special diets - even bringing your dog!) Do get in touch if you have unanswered questions: hello@portsmouthpride.org.uk or ping us a message on socials.

The day will kick off with a parade as we close the roads for the first time along this route and bring together more than 1,500 people!
Wear your best Pride outfits, bring your placards & banners, and make some noise as we lead you to the heart of Portsmouth Pride 2023!
The meeting point is behind The Briny (The Red/Speakers Corner) - What3Words exact location - https://w3w.co/boss.work.reach Gather from 11:30 and march at noon.
Once again with the help of Batala Portsmouth and our Queer.All.Year campaign group leading the way, we'll head down the seafront and into Southsea Common in time for all the amazing entertainment to start. The parade is approximately 1.3 miles long and takes approximately 30-45 minutes from start to finish.
Groups of 10 or more people need to register through this link: tinyurl.com/portsmouthpride23
Individuals and small groups can just turn up on the day, no need to register

Portsmouth Pride is a family-friendly, open event and we welcome everyone who wishes to join us!
There will be children's entertainment throughout the day, plus inflatables and fairground rides.
As we are an open and unfenced event, we remind adults to please look after and supervise their children.
We aim to provide a safe environment for all attendees.
A Lost Children point will be in the Welfare Hub near the Portsmouth Pride Event HQ and First Aid Area, and will be manned by volunteers throughout the day.

Please leave the site respectfully, and keep in mind local neighbours. If you want to continue your Pride celebrations, the official Portsmouth Pride after party is being held at Hampshire Boulevard.
