One of Portsmouth Pride's fundamental principles is that Pride should be free, open and accessible to all, and unfenced.
Each year we put on our Main Day event - with entertainment, food and community stalls - which is an open space for the community to attend and be as involved as they choose.
Tally, our Chair of Portsmouth Pride says: "Pride is there for everyone, and there should be no barriers for people to express who they are. And there should be no barriers for people to be with their community.
"Portsmouth Pride is about the LGBTQ+ community, and that includes allies, that includes parents of LGBTQ+ people, that includes the children of LGBTQ+ people, and even the younger generation.
"It's a place where you know that you'll be surrounded. People like you have similar stories and that is priceless and we shouldn't be putting a price on it".
"The aim of Portsmouth Pride is to create a safer and more inclusive city, and part of that is allowing people to access everything free of charge."
