Board of Trustees

The Board shapes and approves the strategy of Portsmouth Pride Trust, ensuring we are taking action to achieve our main objectives of keeping pride an event that is for more than one day, as well as remaining free for all. They also ensure we are meeting our legal and financial obligations.

The Trustees must act in the best interests of Portsmouth Pride Trust as a whole. They are the team who delegate authority for day-to-day activities to appropriate volunteers and staff.

The Board meets quarterly. They are also expected to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Portsmouth Pride Trust.

Our Trustees are volunteers and do not get paid for the time they give to Portsmouth Pride Trust – although they can claim reimbursement for expenses, in accordance with our Expenses Policy.

Being a Trustee is challenging, rewarding and enjoyable and is an effective way to influence Portsmouth Pride.
